Terms of service

These terms apply when you subscribe to Frontreel or use an ad we've made for you. Frontreel is a sole proprietorship registered in Norway. In these terms, "we" means Frontreel and "you" means the business using the service.

Frontreel is a service for businesses. By subscribing, you confirm that you're doing so on behalf of a business.

The plan

• You get four new short video ads each billing month, each delivered in vertical and square sizes.
• Ads are delivered by email over the course of the month. We don't promise a set turnaround for each ad, but we'll tell you when to expect the next one.
• Each ad includes two rounds of changes. If it still isn't right after two rounds, we make you a new one instead.
• Ads you don't use in a billing month don't carry over to the next one.

Price and payment

The plan costs $249 (US dollars) a month. You pay in advance through Stripe, and the plan renews automatically every month on the day you signed up. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card number.

If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, either through the "Manage or cancel your plan" link at the bottom of our website or by emailing jan@frontreel.com. There's no contract and no cancellation fee. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for, and no further payments are taken after that.

We don't give refunds for partial months. You keep every ad you've received.

Sample ads

Before you subscribe, we may make you a sample ad from the photos and information on your public website. You can post it as it is without paying or signing up. If you'd rather we didn't make samples for you, tell us and we'll stop.

What you send us

When you send photos, logos, text or other material, you confirm that you have the right to use it for advertising and that anyone recognizable in it has agreed to be in an ad. You keep ownership of everything you send. We only use it to make your ads.

Who owns the ads

Once an ad is delivered, you can use it anywhere and for as long as you like: in posts, paid ads, on your website or on screens in your shop. We won't publish your ads or use them to promote Frontreel unless you've said we can.

How the ads are made

We make the ads with AI video tools, starting from your photos and details, and Jan checks each ad before you receive it. AI can still get details wrong, such as how a dish, a room or a product looks. Please watch every ad before you post it and tell us about anything that isn't accurate.

You decide what to post and where, and you're responsible for the claims your ads make, such as prices and offers. Instagram, Facebook and TikTok may label AI-made video, and some platforms ask you to disclose it yourself. We'll tell you when that applies.

Our responsibility

We'll make the ads with care, but we can't promise any particular number of views, customers or sales. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profit.

If we stop working together

We can end the plan if you don't pay, or if you ask us to make ads that are misleading, unlawful or use material you don't have the right to use. If we end the plan for any other reason, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any month you've paid for but won't receive.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If a disagreement can't be solved by talking to us, it goes to the Norwegian courts.
